Must the oReader be downloaded by end-users?
No, the reader software is embedded in the publication. All that is required is a modern web browser.

What features does the oReader offer?

for displaying rich content. Think of integrating rotatable 3D models, video and audio. For scienentific publications one could think of:
-Dynamic tables; tables with lots of data only show a subset of the data and provide the means to search and navigate the table data. The data itself is loaded from a (XML) file.
-Reference sources using hyperlinks. A hyperlink is linked to an exact position in a digital publication.

Does the oReader provide an annotation system and can they be shared?
Yes the oReader has a built-in annotation system. Furthermore, annotations made with the oReader can be shared using our o-Share cloud service.
What is XY-navigation?
XY-navigation refers to the way a publication is navigated within oReader. Navigating sideways changes the current section/chapter and navigating up and down scrolls the current section/chapter.
Can I use oReader when offline?
Although oReader is a web application, once cached, it can be viewed offline.
Are my oReader publications up-to-date?
Yes, when you open your oReader publication, the reader will check if there are any updates. If there are any, they will be downloaded and you will be prompted to reload the reader and apply the updates. Ideal for publications
which update often, such as educational textbooks and manuals.
Does the oReader use the ePub 3 standard?
The oReader publication format is based on the ePub 3 standard. This means that all ePub 3 publications can be made compatible for use with the oReader.
Can I share my publication via Facebook, LinkedIn en Twitter?
Publications can easily be shared via Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. Just paste the URL in any of the aforementioned social media applications and all relevant metadata will automatically be retrieved. Once shared, others can simply click the link and start reading.
What are the oReader hosting options?
The oReader is a web application integrated into a website. The oReader can be licensed for use with an existing website, thus leaving the customer in control of the hosting. This option is mainly intended for customers who
